Kelly Ripa is the co-host of the television show,"Live with Kelly and Ryan," that she hosts alongside Ryan Seacrest. The show has had three different co-hosts since Ripa joined the show in 2001, but she has remained a steady host on the show since her initial joining. She is married to actor Mark Consuelos and the pair share three children, Michael, Lola and Joaquin.
Ripa was born on October 2, 1970, to parents Esther and Joseph. Before becoming one of the most popular hosts on daytime television, she was an actress on the soap opera 鈥淎ll My Children,鈥� from 1990 until 2002. This was also where she met hernow husband, Consuelos.After meeting on the show, they got married in May 1996 and have been together ever since.
Ripa and Consuelos have a production company together called 鈥淢ilojo Productions鈥� where they have worked with networks including Bravo, Logo, VH1, HGTV, TLC, CMT, Hulu and Discovery. The married couple have three children, Michael, Lola and Joaquin. Their oldest, Michael was born on June 2, 1997. Lola was born on June 16, 2001 and Joaquin was born February 24, 2003.
Ripa joined the show, 鈥淟ive with Regis and Kelly鈥� in 2001 with the late Regis Philbin. She replaced Kathie Lee Gifford on the talk show. In 2011, Philbin retired from the show and the show title was changed to 鈥淟ive! with Kelly.鈥� Various guests sat next to Ripa after Philbin鈥檚 departure, until Michael Strahan became the new co-host. The show鈥檚 name was again changed to 鈥淟ive with Kelly and Michael.鈥�
In 2016, Strahan left the show and went moved on to be on 鈥淕ood Morning America.鈥� In 2017, a new co-host was found with 鈥淎merican Idol鈥� host Seacrest, who remains on the show today. The show is now called 鈥淟ive with Kelly and Ryan.鈥� Ripa has been nominated for many Daytime Emmy Awards for her work on the show.
Beyond being a successful talk how host, Ripa also added 鈥渁uthor鈥� to her resume with the release of her first ever book, a memoir called "Live Wire" in September 2022.
